I began in the water in 2003 at a pool near our house in Fall City, WA. In 2005, we moved to Lynden. After searching for a pool, we realized there were none. Believing that the area was in need of a warm water therapy pool, we decided to open our own and create a healing center we could share with the community and beyond. Our dream became a reality in February of 2009 when we opened K9 Lap of Luxury.
Over the years I have introduced hundreds of canines to the water. I am honored to have a front row seat to amazing experiences. Every dog has their own relationship with the water and no two sessions are alike. I continue to learn new things from the dogs I work with. I am fortunate to do what I love and love what I do. My dog Artie brought me to Canine Warm Water Therapy over 15 years ago after he had a TPLO, his third knee surgery. We went to a pool in Edmonds for his appointments. After seeing what a difference the water therapy made during his rehab, I decided to start my journey acquiring skills to care for other dogs. The benefits of his continuing water work helped Artie be mobile throughout his entire life of over 14 years. I feel so fortunate to be able to work with so many amazing dogs and help them to be as happy and mobile as possible for as long as possible.
